Select your vehicle’s exact brand, model, version and model year. If an optional onboard charger is available, select the configuration fitted to your vehicle. Then choose the power connection available where you charge and, if useful, your charging scenario.

For example, after selecting a vehicle, Single-phase · 230 V · 16 A and Three-phase · 400 V · 16 A may produce different charging power, charging times and compatible charger results. Selecting the exact version is important because charging capability can differ between model years and optional equipment.

The onboard charger is the AC charging system built into your vehicle. It converts AC power supplied by the EV charger into energy that can be stored in the battery. Its rating determines the maximum AC charging power your vehicle can accept.

For example, if your vehicle’s onboard charger is limited to 3.7 kW, connecting it to an 11 kW charger will still result in a maximum charging power of approximately 3.7 kW.

Rated power is the maximum power available from the listed charging configuration. Actual power is the charging power the vehicle is expected to accept after accounting for its onboard charger and the selected electrical connection.

For example:

• Rated: 11 kW
• Actual: 3.7 kW
  

This means the charging configuration can provide up to 11 kW, but the vehicle is expected to accept only 3.7 kW. When Rated and Actual are the same, the vehicle can use the full available output.

Not necessarily. Your vehicle can only accept up to the limit of its onboard charger.

For example, if your vehicle supports a maximum of 7.4 kW AC:

• A 7.4 kW charger can use the vehicle’s full AC charging capability.
• An 11 kW or 22 kW charger can still be compatible.
• The higher-powered charger will not reduce charging time for that vehicle.

A higher-powered charger may still offer more flexibility if you later charge another vehicle with a higher AC charging capacity.

Select the power connection available at the location where you plan to charge.

Common examples include:

• Single-phase · 230 V · 16 A
• Single-phase · 230 V · 32 A
• Three-phase · 400 V · 16 A
• Three-phase · 400 V · 32 A

For example, an 11 kW charging setup typically uses a three-phase 400 V · 16 A connection, while a 7.4 kW setup typically uses a single-phase 230 V · 32 A connection.
The connection available to your vehicle does not necessarily confirm that the circuit is suitable for continuous EV charging. If you are unsure, ask a qualified electrician to check it.

Required circuit shows the electrical circuit rating needed for the charger to provide its stated output.

For example:

• Required circuit: 16 A means the charger requires a suitable 16 A connection.
• Required circuit: 32 A means the charger requires a suitable 32 A connection.

It does not confirm that an existing socket, wiring, circuit breaker or protective device is suitable for the charger. A qualified electrician should verify the electrical installation when necessary.

The estimated full charge time is based on the selected vehicle, usable battery capacity, onboard charging capability and electrical connection.

For example, the same vehicle may show:

• A longer charging time with 230 V · 16 A
• A shorter charging time with 400 V · 16 A
• No further reduction at higher power once the vehicle’s onboard charging limit has been reached

Actual charging time can vary with the starting battery level, temperature, charging losses, battery condition, vehicle software and other operating conditions.

No. A compatible result means the charger matches the selected vehicle, connector and charging configuration. It does not confirm that the electrical system at your charging location can safely support it.

For example, selecting Three-phase · 400 V · 16 A tells the guide which products to compare, but it does not verify that your property has sufficient capacity, suitable wiring or the required protective devices.

Ask a qualified electrician to check the circuit before installation if you are unsure.

No product currently configured in the guide matches the selected vehicle, power connection and charging scenario.

For example, selecting a specific three-phase connection together with a portable charging scenario may produce no results if no configured product matches both filters. Try changing the charging scenario, selecting another available connection or using Clear filters.

This does not necessarily mean that the vehicle cannot be charged from that type of electrical connection.

Some vehicle versions were available with more than one factory-fitted onboard charger configuration.

For example, a vehicle may have an 11 kW onboard charger as standard and a 22 kW onboard charger as an optional factory configuration. Selecting Optional changes the charging data only if that higher-powered onboard charger is actually fitted to your vehicle.
