electricar Magazine Rates Rheidon PC200 Pro-11K “Very Good”

electricar Magazine Rates Rheidon PC200 Pro-11K “Very Good”

A closer look at the people, testing process and everyday features behind the PC200 Pro-11K’s 82.82% result.

electricar magazine has rated the Rheidon PC200 Pro-11K “Very Good”, with an overall score of 82.82%, in its 2026 comparison of five 11 kW portable EV chargers. The PC200 Pro-11K placed third overall, with detailed test results also published on die tester.

Specialising in electric mobility, electricar is published by Austria-based CDA Verlag, whose magazines are distributed across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

For drivers considering a portable charger, the result offers another reference point alongside the product specifications. Several features highlighted in the review address practical questions: which connections you can use, how far the cable reaches, and how you manage a charging session.

How the chargers were tested

The testing took place in July 2026, with tester Johannes Holzmann credited on die tester. Author Philipp Lumetsberger reported the findings for electricar.

All five chargers followed the same electrical test procedure using EVSE test equipment. The checks covered protective conductor continuity, insulation, charging-state transitions and residual-current protection. The apps were assessed using a common set of tasks covering setup, operation and charging reports.

The results were combined with assessments of connectivity, charging functions and physical characteristics to produce a weighted overall score.

The PC200 Pro-11K received full marks in the app and safety categories under the test’s scoring system. All five chargers passed the electrical safety checks.

Connectivity carried the largest weighting, at 40% of the overall score. That makes the detailed findings useful reading alongside the final ranking: a driver charging at different destinations may have different priorities from someone managing several vehicles.

Features that matter when your charging location changes

A charger earns its place in the boot by being useful where you actually stop. For the PC200 Pro-11K, three features are worth considering in that context.

Quick-Switch adapters for compatible connections

In his electricar report, Lumetsberger highlighted Rheidon’s adapter selection and described how the chip-coded Quick-Switch adapters communicate the permitted current limit to the charger.

For a driver planning to charge at more than one location, an interchangeable adapter system can make the same charger useful across different compatible connections. A visit to family or a stay away from home becomes easier to plan when you know which socket will be available and which adapter you need.

Choose the adapter for the PC200 Pro-11K and the specific connection you intend to use. Adapter recognition does not establish the condition or suitability of the electrical installation.

A 7.5-metre cable for more room around the car

The PC200 Pro-11K’s 7.5-metre cable was the longest in the comparison.

That extra reach can give you more choice about where to park when the socket is beside a garage door or your car’s charging port is on the far side of the vehicle. When assessing a charging location, measure the actual cable route, including corners and obstacles.

Think about packing it away, too. Consider where you will store the charger and how often you expect to carry it between locations.

Charging information on the device and in the app

The review noted the built-in display and app functions for scheduling charging and viewing charging reports.

Use the Rheidon+ app to view charging information, adjust the current and schedule charging.

With the Rheidon+ app, you can adjust charging settings and review charging history. If your electricity plan has fixed off-peak hours, scheduling lets you arrange a charging window around those times. This is a schedule you set to match your tariff.

The device also allows charging-current adjustment and a delayed start without Wi-Fi, giving you direct controls when a wireless network is unavailable.

Check the fit with your car and your plans

The PC200 Pro-11K supports up to 11 kW charging from a suitable three-phase CEE 16 A connection. Actual charging power depends on the supply, adapter and your vehicle’s AC charging capability. Check your car’s specifications, particularly if you drive a plug-in hybrid with a lower AC charging limit.

Before buying, identify the places where you expect to use it and check the available connections. If an installation’s suitability is uncertain, have it assessed by a qualified electrician.

A portable charger can complement a professionally installed home wallbox, providing another option for travel, a second location or backup. Its value depends on having access to suitable power where you need it.

The “Very Good” result adds external evidence to your shortlist. Your own charging routine determines the fit.

If you need one charger for several compatible locations, explore the PC200 Pro-11K’s specifications and adapter options. The current standard package includes a CEE 16 A five-pin adapter; additional adapters are available separately. Check the latest package contents when choosing your setup.
