Power2Drive 2026: What We Heard from EV Owners in Munich

Rheidon Tech PC200 Pro display

Last week, we set up Booth B6.670 at Power2Drive Europe in Munich. In a busy exhibition hall filled with different approaches to EV infrastructure, we chose to let our chargers speak for themselves. We brought the chargers we have spent months refining, letting the products demonstrate to everyday EV owners and industry partners across Europe what a Better Charging Experience means in practice.

What EV owners told us was clear. You do not want to perform complex calculations just to wake up to a charged car. You want to plug in, know your car will be ready when you need it, and see exactly what it cost.

"I'm excited to see more and more people embracing electric vehicles," said Joe, CEO of Rheidon Tech. "Range anxiety is still there, but the answer is simple: faster charging, or charging when the car isn't in use. We're proud that over 100,000 EV owners have chosen our solution — a more intuitive, safer way to charge while their car is parked overnight."

Here is how we demonstrated that vision in Munich.

Removing the math: 'My Car' and 'Charging Planner'

This demand for straightforward control is why we built the PC200 Pro (7.4 kW or 11 kW) to work directly with the Rheidon+ app. During the exhibition, EV owners tested the 'My Car' and 'Charging Planner' features firsthand.

Instead of forcing you to calculate battery capacities, Rheidon+ handles the work internally. You simply select your vehicle profile and input what you actually know: how far you need to drive the next day, or the specific kWh you need. The charger calculates the rest. You decide when it charges, how much current it draws, and how much you spend.

One charger, every socket

We also watched how visitors reacted to the physical chargers. The PC200 Pro (7.4 kW or 11 kW) features our proprietary Quick-Switch System. Visitors at our booth were able to swap between pan-European socket formats—including Schuko, CEE, Type J, and more—in seconds, without tools.

When it comes to safety and reliability, we state the facts. The PC200 Pro has ten built-in protection functions—including three temperature sensors located at the socket contact point, the Quick-Switch connector, and inside the unit. Furthermore, our Quick-Switch Adapters carry full TÜV certification.

Future developments in charging layout

In Munich, we also shared our vision for the evolution of charging, including the development of the WB720 technical concept. Designed for outputs up to 22 kW, this wallbox is planned to feature a built-in MID meter, providing accurate, CE-certified energy data so you can track your spending precisely.

To address the growing shift toward multi-car charging, home solar arrays, and shared parking spaces, we presented the technological concept of the AC550. Building on the foundation of our AC500, the AC550 is designed to act as an intelligent energy link. It connects with your charging hardware to support solar surplus charging, allowing you to run your car directly on solar energy. In environments with multiple Rheidon chargers, the planned features of the AC550 include linking them together to actively balance the load, allowing multiple cars to charge without overloading the main electricity supply.

Choosing the right charger

When we develop new capabilities, our focus is strictly on solving real, practical problems for the EV owner. The PC200-3K6 remains one of our most popular products because it perfectly covers the everyday needs of the vast majority of drivers. If you charge at home from the same socket every time, it provides everything you need for a reliable daily charge. However, if you frequently travel, move between properties, or specifically want app control, the PC200 Pro was built for those situations.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth in Munich. Your feedback helps us build exactly what you need.
